In 2011, as a guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show, she shared her music and publicly detailed her past with bullying during the ‘It Gets Better’ initiative. Featured on Upworthy.com, her video entitled “I AM FAT” quickly went viral and encouraged her audience to reclaim the word ‘fat’. As the founder of Project Lifesize, a plus-sized collaboration channel, her mission has always been to engage in and provoke thoughtful and honest conversations, as well as promote body positivity in the online community. In early 2014, Meghan sparked criticism and garnered support when a photo of hers was removed from Instagram. Instagram soon apologized for removing the image, but the story went viral, being featured on national news outlets such as CBS, Upworthy, Huffington Post and The Today Show. - This is Me. And the Voices in My Head. by Sarah @ Sarah Plus Life - "And so I offer this transparent experiment up for other women. When you look at a picture of yourself (or when you stand in the mirror) and when that negative voice starts to sing its seductive song ... Talk over it. Turn off the negative and turn up the positive messages that celebrate you instead. Does this mean you have to be totally satisfied with your body? Nah. Come on, get real. But, you only have one choice—demonize yourself or support yourself. I chose the second. Your body tells a story. Your story creates a person. And that person deserves to be happy, just as they are. If you have a few minutes, or are so inclined, I urge you to try this simple experiment. Find a photo of yourself. Address, head on, the things you could be scared of. Look them in the eye, stare them down and stand over them like you are a combination of Beyonce and Martha Stewart and every other powerful, ass-kicking woman you can think of. Stare at them... and then move on. Deal with it. Everyone ages. Everyone changes. Everyone (even the most "perfect" of people) has stuff about themselves they don't love. Tell the negative to take a hike. Off a tall mountain. And jump. "

- We are reduced to our stereotypes. We ALL are. But black stereotypes have made us the pariah of the privileged. “My Skin” is a stance against the racial profiling of ALL ethnicities and the blind hatred that poisons our perceptions. I performed in this music video being fully aware of the consequences. The amount of shame people place on others’ bodies has evolved beyond the quiet murmurs behind backs. "Body shaming" and hateful, stereotypical slurs are flippantly exchanged on social media and youtube comments. This video will be seen, scrutinized, laughed at, hated, loved, but most importantly appreciated. My afro-hair, fat, muscle, bone and melanin are not a punchline-- I was born in it, and I will proudly wake up in it everyday. This is a summoning of bodies: all shapes, sizes and shades to unite in their pride, and wear their skin like the gift it is." - Video from Lizzo
- "Having a bad body day. Well, not a bad body day, but definitely a, I'm not appreciating my body day. I set my alarm to go to Buti Yoga this morning but it would have been my first time which intimidates me and so I slept in instead. Then I finished the last three episodes of House in the series and cried through the finale even though it sucked. Then I had half a smoothie and a few bites of cake. Then I watched some YouTube and stayed in bed because my body is sore from teaching and instead of stretching it I ate ice cream out of the half gallon with a fork. Now I'm attempting to get ready for work. And I'm only sharing so that you remember, the journey is always going to have ups and downs. Hormones, events, sore muscles, they can all affect how we feel about our bodies on any given day and we can't hate ourselves for it. Well, I should say, we can hate ourselves for it, and we might, but we really can't. Because it's normally something like clothing or hormones that are affecting us and that really, just, isn't always our fault. It just is what it is. And we get through it with whatever coping mechanisms we use, hopefully not terribly destructive, and look forward to a new day or a new week when the things balance out. You haven't failed because you don't like yourself today. You've succeeded. Because if you can end your sentence with, "I don't love my body today" rather than, "I don't love my body...period", well then you've most certainly made progress. I'm having one of those days. Just know, that this too shall pass, and you've come an awfully long way if you're just having bad days instead of bad months. Love you all." - Amanda Trusty

What I found was that instead of waiting until I was thin to do the things that I wanted to do, I just went ahead and did them fat. Fat people have been around since.. forever. (historical records of fat people existing)
"Obesity rates are on the rise," "Obesity epidemic has reached new heights," etc. etc. We have heard them all before, obesity is all because of our food system. But is it really? There is no argument that health issues have increased and death tolls due to those health issues have been frequent, but that is due to the cheap, unhealthy foods we eat (thin and fat people alike) People act like fat people just started to exist. Newsflash, people of all sizes have been around since the beginning of time.

- Eavesdropping on Teenagers @ Axis of Fat - "Anyway, aside from the wince I had when one of the girls remarked upon how lucky it was for all us old passengers that we were playing old music because anyone under 30 wouldn’t know young music, the thing that really had me was when the conversation turned to how “isn’t it weird that there were no fat people back then?” “Oh I guess they were all busy dancing”.Two thoughts:1. This is why you shouldn’t base your knowledge of history on music videos. I doubt the daily level of dancing is very different today. 2. This is why it’s SO important for a true diversity of bodies and sexualities and races and abilities to be represented in media. Not only for those of us today who can feel like we’re all alone, but because we deserve better to be erased from history. People talk a lot about the ‘War on Obesity’ – well, remember that history is written by the victors."

What if I SQUISH him/ her during sex (stop worrying & learn about weight distribution and transfer) & My boyfriend/ girlfriend can't lift me.
Diet culture and body shaming culture will want you to believe that if you are big enough you will kill your boyfriend or girlfriend as soon as you sit on top of him or her. Always be aware of the other person and how they are doing no matter what size you are. I could suffocate someone with my hand, but as for simply being on top of your partner, you will be fine. If your partner is too heavy in one position, change positions until you both are comfortable. But that also goes for people who are short and tall, etc. Use pillows, toys, straps, etc.
My boyfriend/ girlfriend can't lift me:
So what, some people are tiny enough to be lifted and some people are not. Some people are very tall as well and weight more than a shorter person while shorter people can be fatter and easier to lift. Some people are stronger than others. Everyone is different.
People lift weights. Weights are dead weight and tend to actually be heavier than people since people can move and,"help" the person lifting.

- How easily can guys lift girls? : AskMen @ redditt - "The thing about carrying people is that you don't actually have to pick them up and you more just sweep their legs out with one arm and cradle their back with the other. Like I can barely lift a 125 pound object from the ground into a truck bed but I can easily sweep a woman off her feet and carry her a short distance. It seriously only feels like its as much work as putting one of those water cooler jugs in place." && It takes very little effort to lift them as they are generally higher up than your average heavy thing with a low centre of gravity, and it takes even less effort once you are holding them to keep them aloft. Comparatively, a 175lb woman is easier to lift and carry than an 80lb bag of concrete mix."

- [Pic] Fat is an adjective not an insult
- "#TeamStillFat. Because before and after's are most often triggering and a means of reminding people that happiness/ your future should revolve around losing weight or fitting lethal white, thin, and able body beauty standards. Diet culture and weight loss as a health standard are destructive and violent. There is no thin person inside of me waiting to get out. There is no health condition that is inherent to fatness. There is no logical excuse for why fat people shouldn't be respected or humanized. We can do what we want, wear what we want, and live how we want.If your first response to seeing a fat person is to question their health/ well being - you're the problem. If your first response is to feel entitled to our autonomy and time by wanting to talk to us about our bodies (or health concerns) - you're the problem. If your first response is feeling uncomfortable because our body represents something you don't want to look like/ don't want to sexualize/ don't want to humanize - you're definitely the problem.Leave us alone.Stop promoting healthiness as thinness.
- The divine liberation of calling myself fat. by Your Fat Friend @ Medium - "Fat holds so much power over so many people. When I use it to describe myself, I take back a simple, small, important thing: the ability to name and own my experience. When I talk about being fat, I take control of what that means. Instead of being forced into reductive conversations about weight loss and shame, I get to talk about my actual life. I can talk about the partners who’ve loved my fat body. The friends who understand and support me. The clothing that fits me. The people who shun me for having the body I have. The doctors who treat my fat body, and the ones who deny it. The way my body is seen as a reflection of my character, of public ills, of morality. And the disconnect between that and who I actually am.Calling myself fat allows me to wrest my own experiences from the jaws of a powerful, pervasive narrative that says I ought to be ashamed of the body I have always had, the body I am learning to take care of, as we all are. It allows me to carve out a space to say that the treatment I receive isn’t deserved just for looking the way I look."
