"This 150 year old person is obese. He or she may be healthy NOW, but what about when they are older."
- VFHT: The Vague Future Health Threat @ Dances with Fat - "I don’t know of a single statistically significant, properly controlled scientific study that supports that statement. So, either cite your research or I’m going to assume that I know more about this than you do and you are just talking without actually knowing what you’re talking about. (Or “talking out of your ass”, depending on my mood)...You have no way to know that. Cite your research or I will assume that you are putting my health at risk by talking about things for which you have no actual knowledge or qualifications. That is completely unacceptable to me."
- To assume that when a person gets older he or she will not be healthy is ageism.Because old people are just walking bags of diseases, right?Wrong. Notice if an older person eats HEALTHY and stays active that he or she remains healthy. Some are fat, some are thin but one thing they all have in common is how HEALTHY they eat and how active they are. Heart disease, diabetes, etc is not just common in the elderly, but in people who do not eat HEALTHY. Our immune system suffers because of the unhealthy foods we eat. It's been proven that an elderly person who stays active and eats healthy is healthier than a teenager who doesn't.Keep eating healthy (whole foods and a low-animal food/ high plant based diet. Go vegan if you can, if you can't just cut down on as much meat as possible, replace it when you can. Lentil tacos are amazing!) and stay active and you will be healthy, no matter what size you are. and if you want to play that card, if you eat meat AT ALL you have a chance of not being healthy yourself, meat eater. So, don't pull that card with fat people.
- "the ex athlete" argument - These people are going from millions of dollars and playing all the time to not playing anymore.have they remained stay active? Not staying active contributes to any demise of their health. Plus, we don't know their dietary habits. They don't have a personal chef anymore. Do they eat a lot of McDonalds and already prepared, heavily processed meals loaded with table sugars and table salts. I bet you will see they do! Are they suffering from depression? that may be why they are not continuing to exercise as they did when playing sports. Stories and reports only tell side to the story
"You may be healthy and fat now, but you will not be when you are older."
Thin= immortal.Just look at how many thin people NEVER die.*sarcasm*

The "fat athletes would be better athletes/ you would be a better runner/etc. if you were thinner." statement
- You become better by training, not losing weight. It's not that easy, or any thin person would just go out and run 5k and play in the NBA and NFL.Practice makes perfect.People TRAIN for events such as a 5k, or weight lifting competition they don't LOSE weight and there ARE fat athletes that are EQUALLY AS GOOD as their thinner team mates or they wouldn't be a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE!Some random out of shape bum is not going to be signed to an NFL, MLB,etc.team. they have to be in the BEST shape and since there ARE fat players, this statement is invalid.
- Many (f)athletes are given the title as "BEST" or "one of the greatest" in their sport yet people STILL say "they would be better if they were thinner." How can you be better than GREATEST. Plus, they beat out thinner people to get that title or that rank. Now, this is not saying a person must be fat to be the best, being the best has nothing to do with size, but determination and effort.
- "Hamman is also the IPF World Record holder in the squat with 457.7kg (1008 pounds), a record that has stood since 1996!! Hamman is arguably the most successful powerlifting to Olympic lifting crossover athlete in history." - JTSStrength
- People think that some athlete fairy comes and gives you the gift of just becoming a good athlete over night if you lose 50 pounds. To prove that it IS hard work, dedication and determination look at Fathletes. Just as good as their thinner counterparts.
Brute force (bones can carry 19,000 pounds)
- Brute Force: Humans Can Sure Take a Punchy by Charles Q. Choi, Live Science Contributor - "Bone is extraordinarily strong — ounce for ounce, bone is stronger than steel, since a bar of steel of comparable size would weigh four or five times as much. A cubic inch of bone can in principle bear a load of 19,000 lbs. (8,626 kg) or more — roughly the weight of five standard pickup trucks — making it about four times as strong as concrete." sucks when science makes fat-shaming doctors look stupid.

Weighted vests
- Wear Weighted vests - inspired by Pt 4.with Dr. Glen Gaesser | The Dr. Oz Show - train your body to carry all of your sexiness even though you may not need to, but if your joints and body ache the ONE thing people are going to say is "all that extra weight" ummmmm.. i have "extra weight" too! Everyone does. We have organs and females have some excess weight on their chest. But anyway.. work out... wear one of these. Start out light and work your way up so your body is trained to carry all of your sexiness. This is just an idea, not something you NEED to do. Working out will probably help keep you healthy :P
- Pt 4.with Dr. Glen Gaesser | The Dr. Oz Show - in my opinion this is why people should exercise, and not to sound harsh but why bigger people should exercise with weight training , so their body is used to that "extra weight" because if you are comfortable lifting 300 pounds and you weight 250 your body will in my opinion, be used to that weight and be more accustomed to carrying that weight. We all should exercise;however, i am not saying bigger people are the only ones who need to exercise. When i do not exercise for long periods of time i get winded and my legs hurt and are like jello carrying my 100 pound body. So I exercise and do squats and strengthen my leg muscles and I feel a lot better. My knees and feet feel better as well! I am trying to point out that working leg muscles to carry our weight helps (no matter what size you are, bigger people should just work up to carrying more weight). Squats, and yoga can help with that :P Ain't no thing wrong with that. It's like a free weight machine attached to your body :P *hehe* :D

Muscle and fat weight the same.
- **Volume and Mass: A comparison from Youtube user IntelliLearn
- **Learn Grade 3 - Maths - Mass weight @ Youtube - one pound is ONE pound, doesn't matter what it is.
- **7 Stubborn Fitness Myths:1 or 7 - Muscle weights more than fat - it DOES have more volume, but volume is just a measurement of space, not a measurement of your self worth. fat can = healthy, so the claims of "muscle helps" is incorrect.Proof? Just browse this site :D Of course they will say those things, they are trying to sell "diet/fit=skinny" culture :(

This is the dumbest shnit I have ever heard against being fat. What about if a person is thin and eats a lot of food with tons of vitamin c in them. Wouldn't THAT be "overnutrition?" Or, is this just another "health effect of obesity" even though, this is a legit thing, it could happen to thin people as well.
"Overnutrition or hyperalimentation is a form of malnutrition in which the intake of nutrients is oversupplied. The amount of nutrients exceeds the amount required for normal growth, development, and metabolism." - Wikipedia
Synthetic vitamins can not be absorbed good by the body, the body just poops out anything it doesn't need. Hence why we should all eat healthy, wholesome foods. This isn't a problem of "overnutrition, " but a problem of eating too many food like products and taking synthetic, man made vitamins when we can get the same thing in whole foods.
But the fact people say this is the harmful side effect of obesity is dumb. This is the reason we poop and pee, to get rid of excess waste.Just another sneaky way to be a sizephobic c*nt.. i can see this as a legit concern, but it's,of course, just directed towards fat people and their "consumption of food"
I can understand it being a concern for people who take vitamins in the form of a pill, drink, etc. or, people who may be taking certain meds, but this is an attack of bigger people. Not cool.
Our food products contain synthetic vitamins and minerals as well, that may also be the reason for this "over intake of vitamins," since the body can not adsorb these synthetic chemicals as they are not recognized by the body.

"overfat"
THIS is a winner. Look at the definitions. Now, if you have ever been on a pro-ana site, this sounds EXACTLY the same as what they think.
- "Overfat is defined as having more than a given % of overall body composition. Overweight mean being heaviser than the standards suggested by the height-weight tables." 9 pg 48 in Big Fat Lies by Dr. Glenn Gaesser . What is "too" overfat? 150 pounds, 130? 110?
- "The term "infectobesity" refers to obesity of infectious origin and the emerging field of medical research that studies the relationship between pathogens (disease-causing organisms, such as viruses and bacteria) and weight gain. The term was coined in 2001 by Dr. Nikhil V. Dhurandhar, at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. (Dhurandhar, 2001)." - Wikipedia
- Infectobesity: obesity of infectious origin.
- Infectobesity: is obesity transmitted through a common viral infection?
This is legit the description of Boomer, from Left 4 Dead. In fact, when i first read about it i thought it was just fake news stories to promote Left 4 Dead.
