Because so many people feel bad after eating tons of food. If you gain weight, who cares. Food is natural and delicious. People often feel guilty after sex as well when they shouldn't just because of the shame from society that comes with it.
Also, I am including meditations, new age influenced ideas, and DBT/CBT, my own take on intuitive/Attuned/Mindful eating skills on here relating to NOT feeling guilty about overeating/binge eating. Usually skills like these are used when trying to lose weight, but this isn't about losing weight but the guilt of trying to make everyone eat a certain way. Like when people use therapy to try to repress sexual desires when sex is natural and beautiful and people should not be made to feel bad when they have sex alot.it makes me upset and ashamed of how or society shames such natural acts and how we are shamed to (forced) dieting or restricting what we want to eat.

Snap a rubber band: Each time you want to eat something you feel is "unacceptable" or "bad" snap this. If you associate THOSe bad thoughts *that eating certain foods is bad, or that gaining weight is bad so you shouldn't eat something) you will stop having them, or bounce back from them because you associate those bad thoughts with the rubber band hitting your wrist.
Example. You see cake.. you want cake now, but you can't eat it because you are on a diet. If you eat cake or have an extra piece you may gain weight. Snap the band, now, go make some cake (with healthy ingredients), watch a movie and enjoy your 2 pieces of cake.

If for some reason you like pain and this makes you not want to eat, or does not work for you for some reason:
try making a bracket using alphabet letters
write it on your arm or wrist
make a bracelet with food charms and maybe charms associated with happiness; like a heart or smiley face.
Associate those thoughts with *distraction* and then eat what you wanted, but felt you couldn't have

- Contingency Mapping @ PBI - "This study evaluated the effectiveness of contingency mapping, a new visual support strategy designed to enhance clients' understanding of the contingencies associated with functional equivalence training (FET). The study was conducted in a general education classroom with an adolescent boy with autism who engaged in prompt dependent behavior. A multiple baseline ABCD design across three activities was used to evaluate intervention effectiveness and to compare a verbal contingency intervention with contingency mapping. Results indicated that the verbal contingency had no effect, whereas contingency mapping was related to immediate, dramatic, and sustained reductions in problem behavior and increases in alternative behavior. Social validation and follow-up data are also included."

A-B-C chart (antecedent behavior consequence)
- Behavior Plans/Functional Behavior Assessment/Teacher Tools/Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence Chart | Special Connections - "An ABC Chart is a direct observation tool that can be used to collect information about the events that are occurring within a student's environment. "A" refers to the antecedent, or the event or activity that immediately precedes a problem behavior. The "B" refers to observed behavior, and "C" refers to the consequence, or the event that immediately follows a response."
- Observing Behavior Using A-B-C Data @ IIDC - "While it is important to look at both the antecedents and the form of the behavior, the focus of this article is on the consequence portion of the data collection. Examine the consequence portion of the data collection form when identifying those responses that both increase and decrease problem behavior. For example, if attention seems to increase problem behavior, then it may be important to teach the individual to get attention in a more appropriate fashion or to use attention for positive behaviors. If escape from a difficult task seems to be a consistent theme in the consequence section, then it may be important to either change the task or to teach the child to ask for help. And we may choose to use downtime as a reinforcer. Our responses should always focus on strengthening desired behavior, promoting the use of the replacement behavior, and decreasing the occurrence of the problem behavior (Sugai, et. al., 2000). An important aspect of this prospect is understanding those responses or consequences that maintain, and either enhance or decrease behavior over time."

Tokins
- Token Economy - Applied Behavior Analysis & Autism - "A child should not be deprived of basic needs through the use of a token system. However, the reinforcers that are chosen should have value… meaning that a child wants access to them. The child should understand that the reinforcers will only be given contingent on them being earned. Reinforcers should not be given for “free”. This will most likely be new to the student and he/she may resist. That’s okay. When the token system is introduced and the child begins to come into contact with earning preferred items, the resistance usually fades."
- Token Economy @ Psychlopedia - "A token economy is a system of behavior modification based on the principles of operant conditioning. It is often used by people who practice applied behavior analysis (ABA).A token economy rewards good deeds with items that can be used to trade for a desirable item later on.A token economy is a therapeutic system where individuals are given a fake form of currency that can be exchanged for "Good things in life" as a reward for good behaviors that are trying to be taught to the patient."
- Token economy system @ Mind Disorders - "The primary goal of a token economy is to increase desirable behavior and decrease undesirable behavior. Often token economies are used in institutional settings (such as psychiatric hospitals or correctional facilities) to manage the behavior of individuals who may be aggressive or unpredictable. However, the larger goal of token economies is to teach appropriate behavior and social skills that can be used in one's natural environment. Special education (for children with developmental or learning disabilities, hyperactivity, attention deficit, or behavioral disorders), regular education, colleges, various types of group homes , military divisions, nursing homes, addiction treatment programs, occupational settings, family homes (for marital or parenting difficulties), and hospitals may also use token economies. Token economies can be used individually or in groups."
- Tokens @ Behavior Advisor - "5. Select the initial reinforcer. Use a reinforcer that is easy to administer (and in the case of tokens, convenient to store). Devise a token/item/marking that will inhibit theft or counterfeiting. For example, a small pieces of paper stamped with an item that is difficult to find in a store, or tickets with the teacher's signature) 6. Select your back-up reinforcers. Involve your students in the selection to insure that the reinforcers will be perceived as being valuable. (For instance, have the students list things that they would work to obtain, or complete one of the many published reinforcement inventories, or set out possible reinforcers and observe which ones are selected most often.) Be sure that the reinforcers are appropriate. Consider educational value, cost, possible misuse, or danger involved. 7. Place a price (in tokens) on your back-up reinforcers. Record the actual price of any purchased items. Higher priced items will demand more tokens for trade-in. Place a value on back-up reinforcers (the rewards) that are activity-oriented such as free time, listening to music, or painting. Develop a wall chart that lists the number of tokens needed to purchase each back-up reinforcer. 8. Place a value on the tokens"
- @Wikipedia - "A token economy is a system of contingency management based on the systematic reinforcement of target behavior. The reinforcers are symbols or "tokens" that can be exchanged for other reinforcers. A token economy is based on the principles of operant conditioning and behavioral economics and can be situated within applied behavior analysis."
- Create a Token Economy System to Improve Child Behavior @ Very Well - "While you can use a written point system, it's best to physically hand a token to your child whenever he earns one. This provides immediate gratification and reinforces his positive behavior. Help your child find a way to store his tokens. If your child creates a special jar or box to keep his tokens in, he'll likely be extra motivated to keep earning more."
- What is a token economy? uploaded by Autism Live - "Parent to parent, what is a token economy? How does a token economy work, and how is it useful with my child?"
- Token Economy @ Educate Autism - "The basic principle is that a child earns a certain number of tokens by engaging in desired behaviours (called “target behaviours”) and can then exchange these tokens – effectively using them as payment – to gain access to backup reinforcers."

MEDITATIONS,MANTRAS ABOUT NOT FEELING GUILT
- Ate too much/ overate/ went over caloric intake now I am going to gain weight.I'm a bad person/ I shouldn't have done that/People will judge me/I'm disgusting and con't control myself.I overate therefor I can't control myself. I am a failure because I failed dieting and I ate more food than I wanted to.But I AM a GOOD person because I work/ I support my family/ I support myself financially/ I am friendly/ I am trustworthy/ i am always there for people.Just because I overate, or went over my caloric intake does not mean I am a bad person. I am a good person who loves food, and who doesn't. Everyone overeats once in a while. Food is yummy and nourishes my body to be strong. If my body wants more than usually that is because it needs more energy to burn and be strong and able to work throughout the day. Next time, I will not have such destructive thoughts. If I eat too much, or if I go over my caloric intake I should not be afraid of gaining weight. I eat foods that are healthy for me so I should not worry about how MUCH I eat.

- Eat to live, or live to eat, that is the question "In conclusion, all of us eat to live, in a biological sense. We don’t want to die due to lack of food and water, so we eat to stay alive. Living to eat, on the other hand, is an entirely different matter. Because of the psychological, emotional, or social benefits that living to eat can bring with it, we make eating the central focus of our life, above and beyond our need for energy to survive. This is true of Sumo wrestlers and also people who use food to demonstrate the correctness of their views, as we saw in in the movie, “Super Size Me”. Personally, I can only say that eating has a very important role to play in my life. I eat to live, and for me, this is the way that benefits my health. Still, I know that as long as food is a way to have a successful life, or prove a point about how eating fast food is bad for you, people will continue to, “live to eat”."

Binge eating disorder is BS
#NomNomNom & #IHeartFood & ILoveFood & #IHeartCalories & #ILoveCalories:
Obesity related Binge eating disorder is bullshniz (BED is seen in people who are dieting, or suffering from starvation diets and to assume people are fat BECAUSE they "must have" BED is dangerous and fatphobic.) And, people (and doctors) who try to use BED as a "symptom" of obesity do not understand what BED is and are stereotyping and are fatophobic.
Just like hypersexual disorder & Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (which is actually Asexuality but of course that is seen as a "disorder" . It doesn't mean a low sex drive which is usually the symptom of something else like depression or anxiety) This is just like diet culture. Telling you how much you should and shouldn't eat.
Some people eat because it helps with emotions (scroll down) - also check out culinary therapy.
Some people eat because it is sexual and erotic to them (see "Foodual")
Some people even eat because they like the feeling of a full belly
It's better than taking a zillion drugs that can harm you and hurt you and it is not harmful if you are smart about it. Eat healthy and exercise. - Also see "fat people problems" category and stay away from heavily processed foods, make everything at home from scratch using whole food (food that isn't a "product") and try for a low-meat and dairy diet
Eat when you want to eat. If you want one piece of pizza, eat one piece. If you want the entire thing, eat the entire thing. It's yummy and it is okay to do whatever you want with yummy food. Food is not bad, you thinking it is bad and society telling you it's bad, is bad. As stated in the idea of intuitive eating, "eat when your hungry and [eat as much as you want.] (It actually says "until your full" but who the heck does that?) (by the way, intuitive eating is just a fancy name for another dieting idea. It makes a person feel guilty for wanting to eat AFTER they are full, we ALL binge eat and if you want to eat an entire box of cookies because they are yummy but you are full go ahead and do so.It's not the fact you ate an entire box of cookies it is the fact you feel guilty due to diet culture and "intuitive eating" bullshniz)
one of the "symptoms" of BED is "feeling guilty after binging or stuffing yourself."
